Mediation
is an important and effective alternative dispute resolution method
for resolving issues in as close to a win-win situation as possible.
Peter J. Conlon, Jr. is a trained mediator and since 1990 he has
mediated cases including: contract disputes,
personal injury, employment, securities and multiparty cross claims.
In 1994, Peter J. Conlon, Jr. became qualified as an arbitrator and
since then has heard cases involving employment, securities and
state usury issues. Peter J. Conlon, Jr. is on the arbitrator and
mediator panel for FINRA (formerly NASD/NYSE).
Conlon Financial Advisors & Associates' offices are designed
to handle cases involving a limited number of parties, and offer a
comfortable environment to solve your disputed issues.
Mediation Fee Schedule
Administrative Fee: There is a one-time non-refundable
fee of $150, usually shared by the parties, or an amount equal
to $50 per party if there are three or more parties. This fee is
payable at the time of scheduling. The mediation is not
confirmed until the fee is received.
Rates: An hourly rate of $250 per hour is charged with a
four hour
minimum. Fees are typically shared by all parties or in accordance
with any prior agreement or court order. Payment of fee is due at
the first session.
Travel: Parties will be charged for out-of-pocket
expenses for travel outside the Dallas and Tarrant County area
(hotel, airfare, mileage, etc.).

Peter J. Conlon, Jr. is a Financial Advisor with over 30 years of
academic, military, industrial and financial experience. He provides
expert testimony or consulting services for cases, both plaintiff
and defense, involving life insurance, securities, investments and
standards of practice. Peter J. Conlon, Jr. has expertise regarding
fiduciary standards, ERISA, IRS and FINRA standards with regard to
suitability, account management, churning and misrepresentation.
Peter J. Conlon, Jr. reviews cases to assist clients in
determining a course of action, and assists legal counsel in
preparing for mediation, arbitration or trial.
Expert Witness Fee Schedule
Flat Fee: $200 flat fee for review of case materials to determine
if Conlon Financial Advisors & Associates is able to work on the
case (i.e. clear for conflict of interest, etc.).
Retainer: $1,000 retainer fee for the case.
Hourly Rate: $200 per hour for case research and preparation of
opinion with a 5-hour minimum, which is billed against retainer. The
remaining fee balance is due upon completion of work.
Depositions: $250 per hour with a two hour minimum.
Appearance: $250 per hour with a four hour minimum for appearance at
Mediation, Arbitration or Trial.
Travel: Parties will be charged for out-of-pocket
expenses for travel outside the Dallas and Tarrant County area

Billing: Retainer is due prior to review of case materials.
Hourly rate billed against retainer. Balances billed and due as
accrued.
All outstanding fees due prior to any testimony or deposition.
